What Inspires YOU?

Maybe I am being inspired by the time of year, or maybe it's the great response to my last post.... I'm not sure. But I have decided to do my very first giveaway!
Up for grabs is one of the very first 'after dinner mint' soaps that I mentioned last time. With a scrummy chocolate outside and a fresh spearmint centre - these 100 gram bars are sure to be a joy to use in the shower!
This is what I am after...
I want to know what has inspired you recently.
For me it has been the new soaping book I bought - lots of new ideas and things to try. You know how you can get stuck in a bit of a rut and the thrill can kind of fade? Well for me, I am excited about soaping again and can't wait to try out new shapes, colours and forms.
So tell me what gets your blood firing and adrenalin pumping? What keeps you awake at night dreaming of 'what could be'?
Pop your story in the comments, be sure to give me a way to contact you and you are in to win!!

Oh wow ... where do I start? I am constantly inspired by nature, people, landscapes, scents, food, holiday seasons (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc) ... anything and everything gets me thinking about soap.

Sometimes if I have a new idea I can't sleep properly. Recently I received some coconut fragrance and after I went to bed that night my brain just wouldn't switch off, thinking of what design I would do with it. Pretty crazy, but I love it!

Hey Annie! For me it's not 'What' inspires me, but Who. I usually never see my ideas through to the end, but meeting Isis has been a massive inspiration to me. She is so focused, and creative, and lovely, she has motivated and inspired me to get cracking on making and creating. You can't beat a friend like that.

Oooh, yummy looking soap!
I was inspired to buy a sewing machine and start sewing again after reading about an amazing fellow crafter who was dreaming of selling her softies/plushies and sewing patterns full time. Her amazing work and patterns got me excited about sewing, something I hadn't done in over 10 years and now find so much fun and so relaxing!

Nature inspires me, always.
So do sparkly gems, and piles of fabric - colour and texture which are often, the things I see in nature!

thank you for giving me the chance to tell the world what is inspiring me right now!

Launceston! and all the beautiful creative people in it. It was a spur of the moment decision to drop out travel plans half way through, and we happened to be in Launie. Something drew us to this place. and since we made the move everything has turned out so perfectly for us. I'm inspired by all of the amazing people I've met, the people who felt like my close friends immediately. Inspired by thier creativity, inspired by all of the outgoing 'let's do it' attitudes, and inspired by the fact I can me odd-ball me and still be welcomed so warmly. Launceston has opened it's doors widely to me and thats what has inspired me.

Thanks Raewyn, Launie wouldn't be the same for me if I hadn't met you xxx

loving the soaps, Annie, keep up the lovely work xxx

I'm always driven by making something for a friend, to suit they're personal style. I think my subconcience absorbs colours and style and textures I see people wearing, so I love to sew something with their "look" in mind.
I'm also inspired by my sewing machine from 1953. I kind of wish it was my boyfriend.

I love anything that is vintage and has sophistication and old world glamor. The colours of nature usually inspire me as well.
